Jefferson Humanists will meet in-person again in July! Please join us for an in-person meeting at the Jefferson Unitarian Church on Sunday, July 24th at 4:00 pm.

This month, we have Brenda Gurung, a representative of Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado, joining us for her presentation, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia.”

Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Join us to learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, disease stages and risk factors. current research and treatments to address some symptoms, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

Brenda Gurung (she, hers) is a credentialed dementia specialist and Forbes Health Advisory Board member. She serves as national Memory Care Specialist for Anthology Senior Living, founder of Be Growth Dementia Education, and volunteer Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association. She advocates for inclusive spaces and voices.

Please RSVP. Those attending online must also register with the following link to receive the meeting Zoom link. We promise not to share your email address. Registration Link
