Lisa Forbes is a speaker and the principal of Lisa Forbes Speaks. She is also the author of the book, I Can Take It From Here: A Memoir of Trauma, Prison, and Se/f­ Empowerment.

Lisa also served as the Communications Director for the League of Women Voters of Colorado. She was the Speakers Bureau Chair for Toastmasters International District 26, which covers Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska. Her focus is on the need for national-level policies and programs aimed at trauma resolution as the foundation for crime prevention, reducing recidivism, and increasing the quality of human life.

SCHEDULE

We will serve appetizers from 4:00 to 4:30, then start the program. A small donation is suggested for the food. Wine and beer will be served for a $3 donation. The program will include announcements and a Humanist Moment before the presentation begins.

We hope to see you at 4:00 pm, on Sunday, September 25th, at Jefferson Unitarian Church! It is an in-person-only event.

This program is hosted by Jefferson Humanists, a chapter of the American Humanist Association.
