On Saturday, October 2, 2021, a few humanists traversed the newest section of the Peak-to-Plains trail West of Golden. The trail recently opened, extending the Clear Creek Trail a few miles up the canyon, and is a beautiful and easy hike. We started at the Golden Library and after hiking to the end of the trail, we returned to Golden using the more rustic wooden flume that was once the Welch Ditch and passed several climbers who frequent the rocks above Clear Creek. It was a fun fall hike on a beautiful, sunny, Colorado day.
