When: Sunday, June 23, 2019, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Where: Maple Grove Park, 14600 W 32nd Ave · Golden, CO. From I-70, take the Youngfield/32nd Ave exit, and go about a mile west on 32nd Ave, just past JUC on the left in East Golden.
Maple Grove Park is just west of JUC and offers a large expanse of lawn for games and a great playground for kids. We’ll eat in the Arbor House and under shade and umbrellas on the patio, and be treated to grilled burgers and veggie burgers, salads, desserts and a variety of beverages (wine and beer for a donation). While we’re eating, the Table Mesa Jazz Trio will play cool music from the 30s and 40s.
Gordon Gamm, long-time AHA activist and one of the drafters of the Humanist Manifesto III, will offer a short talk about his new, upcoming book, The Newer Testament for People who Doubt.
Sponsored by the Jefferson Humanists, a chapter of The American Humanist Association (AHA).
To ensure we have enough food, we ask everyone to PLEASE RSVP to this Meetup or to Jim Bole at randjbole@gmail.com.
Chapter friends, note that we’ll have a drawing for two complimentary 2019 memberships!
Chapter members are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share. Also, we need volunteer help in the following areas:
2 people to set up at 4:30 pm;
2 to clean up at 8:00 pm;
2 to help set out and serve food at 5:30 pm;
a few folks to bring and kick-start lawn games;
