Program Description:
Our January program will be presented by Caroline Fry of Colorado Common Cause (www.commoncause.org/colorado). Caroline, who works on public education, grassroots advocacy, member engagement, and coalition building, will present information about ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council.
ALEC brings state legislators together with lobbyists to develop legislation behind closed doors and without public input that is then handed off for implementation to state legislatures around the country. Caroline will teach us how we can fight ALEC’s influence.
