NOTE: Please ONLY RSVP if staying for Dinner, by Thursday, July 19th. If not staying for dinner, just show up. Note new Starting Time: Still the 4th Sunday, but we will be meeting at 4:30pm. The program will include a brief Humanist Moment before the program begins. So we hope to see you at 4:30pm, on Sunday, July 22nd, at Jefferson Unitarian Church.

The Jefferson Humanists are a community dedicated to social responsibility and many of our members have volunteered for Family Promise. Please come join us to learn more about this important organization presented to us by Allie Card.
Bio: Allie Card has been the Executive Director at Family Promise of Greater Denver since January of 2016, after transitioning from her role as Housing Locator/Case Manager. As a case manager, she was focused on Tenant Based Rental Assistance and housing opportunities for the families we serve. Allie graduated from the University of Denver with a Masters in Social Work and completed her Masters of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary in 2015.
Allie completed her undergraduate studies in social work and has been excited to walk alongside and serve people for as long as she can remember. She has worked various jobs related to social services and enjoys forming relationships with those generally thought of as “in need” because they have taught her so much in return. She is also an advocate for affordable housing in the Denver-metro area.
Changes: (we just updated our mission statement)
“…the Family Promise mission: To form relationships with families at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, meals, and a spectrum of supportive services as they gain permanent stability.”

After the presentation, supper and wine will be served. A suggested donation for dinner is $10 and $3 for wine. This month’s menu will be pizza and salad.
