JH’s chair for Legislative Affairs will be teaching the following class through Colorado Free University on Dec 13th and Feb 5th. It will start by documenting the extent and destructiveness of the U.S. oligarchy to date, then examine how the Progressive Movement of the early 20th C. overcame a similar predicament. We’ll finish with a look at legislative and social changes capable of correcting the situation today, plus a list of local groups already working for those reforms.
This course was developed to meet JH’s social action and outreach objectives. Yet the content could easily enrich a discussion among current humanists regarding a more activist mission for AHA chapters, so Ralph encourages all JH members to attend.
